How to Format Any Drive With the Help of Command Prompt (CMD)?

Command prompt sometimes called CMD is a very exiting feature of the windows. By the help of the command prompt you can perform all the tasks related to the computer setting and configuration. You can say it is a interface by which we can perform many tasks with a very fast speed. Sometimes, there are some features which does not perform by the help of the Graphic User Interface. In This situation you can perform tasks by the help of the Command Prompt. Here, I am giving an example of the formatting a disk drive.

Example:-

1. Go to RUN
2. Type CMD in the run text box
3. Press ENTER key
4. You will see an window like this


5. In this window you have to type a command Format D: and press ENTER key

After some time you will get a message the drive is formatted successfully.
