By the help of the command prompt (CMD) you can shutdown your computer. There is a command available for shutting down the computer through the command prompt. It is an easy command. You can run this command in the RUN text box or command prompt.

Parth > This command can be use in two ways described below

1. First of all click on the START button >
Click on RUN >
Type CMD in the text area of the run window >
Now type the complete command below with time choice means, for example I want to shut down my computer in 30 seconds. So I have given the time 30 seconds.

2. First of all click on the START button >
Open RUN >
Now type the complete command below with time choice means, for example I want to shut down my computer in 30 seconds. So I have given the time 30 seconds.

Syntax >  shutdown /r /t(Time) 30(Time in seconds)

Example > shutdown /r /t 30 and press ENTER key.
